Sotra Link wins major road infra contract in Norway

The Norwegian Public Roads Administration (NPRA) has awarded Sotra Link with the largest fixed-price road infrastructure contract in the country’s history.

The NOK 19.8 billion ($2.3 billion) public-private partnership (P3) contract is also the largest of its kind awarded in the European Union this year. Sotra Link will finance, design, build, operate and maintain the road system for 25 years after it opens to traffic in 2027.

The decision had come down to two suppliers: ITIAS and Sotra Link. Sotra Link was chosen because it had the best price-quality ratio, IREI understands.
