SNC-Lavalin has announced that Stéphanie Vaillancourt has been appointed executive vice president, capital, the investment and management arm of the company. The appointment is effective immediately.
Along with her current role as treasurer of SNC-Lavalin, she will report to Sylvain Girard, executive vice president and CFO.
“This change in structure will allow SNC-Lavalin to consolidate the finance functions under one umbrella in order to better manage our investments and to ensure a consistent strategic direction. As executive vice president, capital, Vaillancourt will be responsible for investing capital in projects, including major projects, managing our multibillion-dollar portfolio of infrastructure investments across the world, and bidding as a financing partner on large public-private projects. Vaillancourt will fully participate in executive committee meetings, to keep constant presence of mind for our investment and cash management,” said Girard.
Vaillancourt has 20 years of experience in treasury, risk management and corporate finance. She joined SNC-Lavalin in 2016 after 12 years in treasury with Bombardier Recreational Products. During her time with BRP, she held a series of roles of increasing responsibilities up to vice president treasury and capital allocation. She also held positions at Hydro-Québec and GE Capital Canada.
