Octopus Investments has appointed Sean McLachlan as senior investment director in its sustainable infrastructure team.
McLachlan joins the company from Aviva Investors, where he served as senior director for more than seven years and held roles such as fund manager across the infrastructure equity investment mandates. His responsibilities encompassed investment strategy, client engagement and fundraising. McLachlan also previously spent more than 10 years as investment director at Balfour Beatty Investments where he led investments across a breadth of infrastructure sectors, including energy and renewables, utilities, transport and digital telecommunications.
At Octopus, McLachlan will serve as co-head of the Octopus Sustainable Infrastructure Fund (OSIF), alongside Lukasz Michalak.
