ScottishPower appoints new CEO

by Andrea Zander

Keith Anderson has been appointed CEO of ScottishPower, an internal promotion from his combined role as chief executive of ScottishPower Renewables (SPR), and chief corporate officer of ScottishPower.

Anderson will have ultimate responsibility for all ScottishPower businesses. And he will continue to sit on the ScottishPower board, and the appointment does not otherwise change the formal governance of the company.

Lindsay McQuade, previously director of policy and innovation, will assume responsibility for managing ScottishPower Renewables in the United Kingdom as its new chief executive.

She will oversee a portfolio of more than 40 wind farm sites, which generate in excess of two gigawatts of renewable energy, and will be responsible for new project development.

Spain-based Iberdrola owns SPR. Recently, Iberdrola announced plans to invest €32 billion ($40 billion) between 2018–2022.
