Schroders, a U.K.-based investment manager, has announced a partnership with Contemporary Amperex Technology Co. (CATL), to develop battery energy storage in Europe.
Schroders’ private markets business, Schroders Greencoat, has signed a memorandum of understanding with Lochpine Capital, a Hong Kong–based firm, to invest and create battery storage solutions, with CATL supplying the batteries.
This move promotes the push toward Europe’s zero-carbon market and supports investment in Europe’s energy transition.
