SC Zeus Data Centers, a vertically integrated platform with a growing presence across Asia Pacific and part of the SC Capital Partners Group, has successfully acquired a site for a highly anticipated data center development in Osaka, Japan. Financial terms were not disclosed.
SC Zeus Data Centers said Japan’s prime geographical location in the Asia Pacific region makes it an ideal hub for international data traffic. The country’s growing demand for digital services, the deployment of 5G networks and government regulations promoting data localization further enhance the immense potential in the data center market development.
The initial rollout will target the delivery of 25 megawatts of capacity as Phase 1 of a hyperscale data center project. This facility will be designed to offer top-tier network connectivity, advanced computing capabilities, reliability and energy efficiency.
