Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec (CDPQ) has appointed Saurabh Agarwal as the firm’s managing director in India.
Agarwal previously led CDPQ's infrastructure activities in South Asia since March 2017. In his new role, he will also be the managing director of the Delhi office and will take an active role in positioning CDPQ as a partner of choice across all asset classes.
“We're thrilled that Saurabh has accepted this new role — and are excited about the prospects we see in India,” said Marc-André Blanchard, EVP and head of CDPQ global and global head of sustainability at CDPQ. “Since opening our Delhi office in 2016, we have made investments across a number of strategic sectors including renewable energy, roads and technology.”
