Saudi Telecom Co., one of the largest telecommunications company in the Middle East, will invest 1.5 billion riyals ($400 million) to build Phase 3 of its data center expansion, according to Bloomberg.
“We have big plans for our data centers to become a gateway for the MENA infrastructure,” said Haithem Alfaraj, chief technology officer at Saudi Telecom.
Phase 1 of the project was completed in 2019, and Phase 2 was already in its final commissioning stage. Phase 3 is expected to be completed next year.
