San Luis Obispo County contributes $30m to Brookfield Super-Core Infrastructure Partners

San Luis Obispo County (Calif.) Pension Trust has made an initial investment of $30 million in the open-ended Brookfield Super-Core Infrastructure Partners (BSIP) fund, according to a recent board meeting document.

Verus and staff are targeting the core open-end infrastructure allocation to a broader Infrastructure strategy that gives the fund more control over the various assets in which it invests.

To that end, Verus evaluated four core infrastructure funds from Brookfield, IFM, JP Morgan and KKR — ultimately choosing to commit to Brookfield.

Launched in 2018, BSIP is focused on transport, telecommunications, power and renewable-energy assets.
