RoundShield Partners has completed fundraising for its fourth European Special Opportunities Fund.
RoundShield said the fund was more than two times oversubscribed and closed at its hard cap of £670 million ($784 million) within three months of launch. Sidley advised Roundshield on its latest fundraise.
The fund was backed by existing institutional investors from the United States, the Middle East, the United Kingdom and Europe.
RoundShield is an independent investment firm focused on European asset-backed special opportunities, including real estate, infrastructure, other hard assets and financial assets.
In 2018, the firm closed its third European special opportunities fund at its hard cap of €500 million ($540 million) three months after launch. The fund was almost three times oversubscribed. Fried Frank advised RoundShield on that fundraise.
