The Rhode Island State Investment Commission has approved a $50 million commitment to Stonepeak Infrastructure Fund IV, managed by Stonepeak Infrastructure Partners.
The commission could not be reached for comment by the time of publication.
Stonepeak Infrastructure Fund IV will invest in the energy, transport, renewables, telecommunications, utilities and water sectors. The fund is targeting $10 billion and already has secured commitments from a slew of U.S. pension funds, including the Washington State Investment Board, the Oregon Public Employees Retirement Fund, the Maine Public Employees Retirement System, the Teachers’ Retirement System of Louisiana and the Seattle City Employees’ Retirement System.
The Rhode Island State Investment Commission also approved an increase of its commitment to Stonepeak Master Co-Investment Partners to $30 million from $20 million to allow for co-investing with Fund IV.
