South Australia state-run firm SA Water has plans to install 152 megawatts of new solar photovoltaic generation along with 35MWh of energy storage at nearly 70 of its sites in South Australia over the next two years.
The new solar power and energy storage capacities will help it achieve its objective of zero net electricity costs by 2020. Its first focus is on energizing the solar arrays.
Installing solar capacity ranging from 100kW–13MW arrays at metropolitan and regional locations will be the first phase.
