ReNew Power commissions 105MW solar facility in India

ReNew Power, a renewable energy company in India, has commissioned a 105-megawatt solar generation facility, located in the Patan District of Gujarat.

Since March, ReNew Power has announced the commissioning of more than 500 megawatts of combined wind and solar energy projects. The project brings ReNew’s total operational solar capacity in Gujarat to 145 megawatts and total aggregate solar capacity to 4.7 gigawatts across India.

“The 105-megawatt Gujarat project commissioning is a significant step forward for ReNew Power,” said Sumant Sinha, founder, chairman and CEO of ReNew Power. “The project has been commissioned amidst a COVID-19 surge and reflects the commitment of our team to contribute towards India’s ambition of achieving 450 gigawatts of clean energy by 2030.”

ReNew Power has signed a 25-year power-purchase agreement with the Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd.
