Specialist investment manager Quinbrook has closed its second U.K.-focused renewables fund, Quinbrook Renewables Impact Fund (QRIF II), with £587 million ($785 million) of investor commitments.
QRIF II, which exceeded its £500 million ($669 million) target, builds on the strategy of Quinbrook’s inaugural Renewables Impact Fund (QRIF), which closed in 2023 with £620 million ($829 million of investor commitments.
QRIF II focuses on delivering the infrastructure required to support the United Kingdom’s Clean Power 2030 targets and Ireland’s target of meeting 80 percent of electricity demand from renewable sources by 2030. Investments will advance decarbonization, improve security of energy supplies and provide critical grid support across the United Kingdom and Ireland
QRIF II was marketed exclusively to institutional investors in the United Kingdom and Ireland and saw a strong re-up rate from QRIF investors.
