The Pennsylvania Public School Employees’ Retirement System (PSERS) has shown strong long-term annualized investment returns, demonstrating returns of 8.5 percent throughout a three-year period, 7.4 percent through five years and 8.4 percent through 10 years, as of March 31.
According to the public pension fund’s latest Investment Performance Report, the fund saw returns of 10.3 percent throughout the past 12 months.
With total fund assets of $85.7 billion, PSERS allocates 12.7 percent of assets to real estate and private infrastructure. Private infrastructure accounts for 4.8 percent of pension fund’s portfolio, with $4.1 billion, and public infrastructure accounts for 6.5 percent, with $5.5 billion.
