Pioneer Point Partners pours €100m into energy-efficiency companies in Europe

Pioneer Point Partners, a sustainable European infrastructure investor, has committed more than €100 million ($106 million) to two new investments in the energy-efficiency sector.

The Pioneer Infrastructure Partners fund acquired a majority stake in PerPetum Europe N.V. in Belgium and invested in Comat Servizi Energetici in Italy. Following its launch in 2020, the fund held a €575 million ($610 million) final close in February 2022, exceeding its initial €500 million ($530 million) target.

PerPetum, a Belgium company that develops, constructs, owns and operates decarbonization energy projects for commercial and industrial (C&I) customers, was founded in 2007 as a contractor for rooftop solar and has since expanded to become a vertically integrated decarbonization solutions provider.
