Phoenix Infrastructure Group has achieved commercial close with Prince George’s County Public Schools (PGCPS) on the $800 million Blueprint Schools Phase II Project, a public-private partnership (P3) in Prince George’s County, Md.
The Phase II project involves the construction of eight new school facilities grouped into three separate bundles, slated for completion by summer 2026, 2027 and 2028, respectively. The scope of the project also includes demolition of several existing school facilities and maintenance and rehabilitation for each school throughout the 30-year term.
Prince George’s County includes more than 130,000 students and 22,000 employees. According to Phoenix Infrastructure, many existing facilities require substantial maintenance upgrades. Schools selected as part of the Phase II project have been identified either due to the current condition of the existing school or as a result of population growth within the surrounding community.
