PATRIZIA enters Philippines market with investment in solar energy company investment

PATRIZIA and Mitsui & Co., via their joint venture fund management company, have agreed to acquire an interest in Buskowitz Energy (BEI) on behalf of the APAC Sustainable Infrastructure Fund (A-SIF).

BEI is an independent commercial and industrial rooftop solar developer, owner and operator in the Philippines. To date, BEI has successfully developed 31 sites across the country, achieving a total capacity of approximately 70 megawatts.

A-SIF is the second initiative of PATRIZIA MBK Fund Management, a joint venture between PATRIZIA and Mitsui. It is a mid-market, closed-end private infrastructure equity fund investing in opportunities aligned with the decarbonization, digitalization and demographic change megatrends.

A-SIF will invest up to $100 million in BEI via fund and co-investments to support the development of more than 500 megawatts of operational and development capacity by 2030 and a robust pipeline of rooftop solar projects underpinned by long-term
