PATRIZIA and Mitsui & Co., one of the largest trading and investment companies in the world, have plans to invest up to A$70 million ($45 million) in a major solar and battery development program in Australia.
With this transaction, PATRIZIA MBK Fund Management, a joint venture between PATRIZIA and Mitsui, will have completed the debut investment for the APAC Sustainable Infrastructure Fund (A-SIF). The Initial investment will buy A-SIF an equity stake in energy solutions provider YES Group and funds a solar PV generation and battery-energy storage development portfolio throughout regional Australia.
YES Group specializes in energy markets services and retailing, project origination and EPC, high voltage services and asset management. The company has installed more than 1,700 rooftop solar systems and more than 120 ground-mounted solar farms, and works on major infrastructure projects across the national electricity network.
