Patria Investments sells stake in Colombia’s largest solar energy park

by Kali Arevalo

Patria Investments, a global alternative asset manager, is selling its Infrastructure Fund V’s stake in Puerta de Oro, Colombia’s largest solar energy park, to ISAGEN, Colombia’s largest pure-play renewable platform. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Since the Fund’s investment in 2024, Puerta de Oro has progressed from an early-stage project into a 360-megawatt-peak operation and one of Colombia’s most significant renewable-energy assets. At that time, Colombia’s renewable-energy capacity was 500 megawatts peak in total. Patria Infrastructure Fund V’s investment helped take Puerta de Oro from development and financing through construction and into commercial operation and sale.

This represents the first divestment of Patria Infrastructure Fund V, the largest fund of the vintage in Latin America.

Located in the municipalities of Chaguaní and Guaduas in Cundinamarca, Puerta de Oro has more than 511,000 solar modules across approximately 530 hecta
