Partners Group exits 731.5MW Dutch offshore wind farm Borssele

Partners Group has agreed to sell its final 10 percent stake in the 731.5-megawatt Dutch offshore wind farm Borssele III / IV to Octopus Energy Generation, thereby completing its exit from the asset. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Borssele is a fully operational wind farm that began operations in 2021, located 55 kilometers (34 miles) from the Port of Vlissingen in the Netherlands. The wind farm benefits from a feed-in premium regime backed by the Dutch government, which provides highly visible, long-term contracted cash flows.

The windfarm is designed to generate 3,000 gigawatt hours of energy annually — enough energy to power 825,000 Dutch households.

Partners Group acquired a 45 percent stake in Borssele in 2018 and, during its holding period, transformed the wind farm through hands-on management of its construction through to full operational status and implemented several value-creation initiatives alongside other shareholders.
