Orange, a European telecommunications operator, and global infrastructure investor Morrison have entered into an exclusivity agreement to create a jointly controlled data center company in France.
The 50/50 joint venture would support the development and enhancement of Orange’s existing French data center portfolio, targeting a capacity of 400 megawatts, which is nearly 10 times its current capacity.
As part of this potential transaction, Orange would contribute five major data centers across four campuses in France (Chevilly-Larue, Aubervilliers, Chartres and Val-de-Reuil) to the joint venture, and Morrison would commit equity through its global value-add strategy to support the growth of the platform.
