The $14.65 billion Ohio School Employees Retirement System (SERS) has approved a $70 million commitment to Fiera Capital’s EagleCrest Infrastructure Fund, which will join SERS’ real assets portfolio, according to a new board meeting document.
The investment will be funded from cash reserves.
Fiera’s flagship fund, the EagleCrest Infrastructure Fund, will follow a core/core-plus strategy, targeting the energy, telecommunications, transportation and utilities sectors. The fund has a global mandate to invest in select OECD countries.
EagleCrest Infrastructure is an open-end fund with two feeder vehicles, EagleCrest Infrastructure Canada and EagleCrest Infrastructure SCSp, which is a Luxembourg Special Limited Partnership, available to non-Canadian investors. The feeder funds were established in 2016 and 2018, respectively.
