Ohio Police & Fire approves $125m commitment to KKR Diversified Core Infrastructure Fund

by Kali Persall

Ohio Police & Fire Pension Fund (OP&F) has approved a $125 million commitment to KKR Diversified Core Infrastructure Fund, an open-end core infrastructure fund managed by KKR.

The fund opened to investors in late December 2020 and will pursue opportunities in North American, Western European and Asian markets.

In March, KKR and the Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan acquired a 40 percent combined stake in Finnish electricity distributor Caruna Networks from OMERS Administration Corp., following the earlier acquisition of a combined 40 percent stake from First Sentier Investors. Following the deals, both KKR and Ontario Teachers own a 40 percent stake in the company.

IREI understands the transaction was made on behalf of the KKR Diversified Core Infrastructure Fund.
