Octopus Energy Generation is investing in three new renewables projects via its £2 billion ($3 billion) Sky fund in an effort to help supercharge Spain’s energy transition.

The investments include newly acquired solar farms in Navarre and Albacete, generating a combined 100 megawatts, in addition to a battery storage developer targeting 500 megawatts of capacity in the next five years. The projects will deliver a total of 600 megawatts of clean energy — enough to power 2.3 million homes, or more than 10 percent of Spanish homes.

Octopus said it also has recently invested in OneSolar, a Barcelona-based energy advisory firm aiming to help businesses build and run solar and battery projects more efficiently.

Octopus Energy Generation currently manages more than 4.9 gigawatts of clean energy projects globally. Since entering the Spanish market three years ago, Octopus has rapidly grown its retail business, becoming the country’s fastest-growing energy disrupt
