Nuveen Infrastructure bolsters European renewables footprint with 27MW Italian wind farm

Nuveen Infrastructure, a clean energy infrastructure manager, has completed the purchase of a 27-megawatt onshore wind farm in Southern Italy from OX2. Financial terms were not disclosed.

The project, located in Italy’s Apulia region, is now fully operational following acquisition through a forward-purchase agreement in 2023. OX2 finalized construction in May 2025.

“The successful completion and handover of our first Italian project marks an important milestone in our relationship with Nuveen Infrastructure,” said Matthias Taft, CEO of OX2. “We’re proud to see this project now generating clean energy for the region and look forward to our continued expansion in the Italian market across onshore wind, solar and energy storage technologies.”
