Northleaf closes latest infra fund at $2.6b hard cap

by Kali Persall

Northleaf Capital Partners has raised its largest infrastructure vehicle to date. The firm surpassed the target of $2.25 billion for its latest infrastructure fund, Northleaf Infrastructure Capital Partners IV (NICP IV), and closed the fund at its hard cap of $2.6 billion.

Led by Jamie Storrow and Jared Waldron, Northleaf’s infrastructure program is supported by more than 70 institutional investors across 14 countries and has completed 37 investments. The firm’s infrastructure strategy focuses on control investments in contracted middle-market assets in targeted subsectors, primarily in North America.

NICP IV has already completed five investments since it started investing in 2023. Stuart Waugh, managing partner at Northleaf, said the latest fundraise builds on the track record of the firm’s predecessor funds and reinforces its conviction in the middle market as a compelling segment of the private markets landscape.
