NMSIC commits $400m to infrastructure in April

The New Mexico State Investment Council (NMSIC) has committed $400 million to infrastructure funds, including vehicles managed by LS Power and SDC Capital Partners.

Furthering the existing relationship, LS Power Equity Partners VI received $300 million from NMSIC for its closed-end strategy that invests in large-scale investments in power and energy infrastructure in the United States. The fund aims to raise $4 billion in equity. LS Power Equity Partners V, its predecessor, closed with $2.7 billion in total capital raised, oversubscribed from its initial target of $2.5 billion.

SDC Digital Infrastructure Opportunity Fund V received $100 million for its value-add strategy that invests in digital infrastructure assets, including data centers, fiber networks and wireless infrastructure in North America and Western Europe. A fundraising goal has not been determined. The San
