NIC commits $50m to Blackstone Infrastructure Partners

by Released

The Nebraska Investment Council (NIC) has committed $50 million to Blackstone Infrastructure Partners.

Blackstone Infrastructure Partners, managed by Blackstone, is an open-end vehicle that invests in global projects focused on energy, transportation, communications and water and waste facilities. As of fourth quarter 2025, the fund had secured more than $4 billion in new commitments. The Los Angeles Fire and Police Pensions (LAFPP) committed $100 million to this fund in early 2026.

NIC manages $42.9 billion in total assets under management, as of Dec. 31, 2025, on behalf of five defined benefit pension plans.
