Newcore Capital Management, a U.K.-based social infrastructure real estate investment manager, has launched a new £300 million ($394 million) value-add social infrastructure fund for institutional and family office investors.
The vehicle, Newcore Strategic Situations V (NSS V), an Article 9 fund under the E.U. Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (SFDR), will invest in U.K. real estate assets linked to social infrastructure, such as education, healthcare, transport, waste management, retirement living, life sciences and environmental infrastructure.
At the soft first close of the fund, Newcore has secured institutional and family office commitments from its existing investor base, giving it an initial £60 million ($79 million) of investment firepower. Newcore said it is now expanding its marketing to the institutional investor market and expects to complete additional closings throughout 2022.
