Newcore Capital hires Anne Copeland as head of institutional capital

by Kali Persall

Newcore Capital, a U.K.-focused real estate investment manager specializing in social infrastructure, has appointed Anne Copeland to the newly created role of head of institutional capital, starting in August.

Copeland previously held significant roles at Alpha Real Estate, Aviva and Aegon, where she pioneered the development of funds focused on social infrastructure, healthcare and housing.

In her new role, Copeland will leverage her 29 years of experience to create and manage funds for the firm’s institutional clients, mainly focusing on low-risk, impact-driven affordable housing strategies.

Copeland is the eighth hire for Newcore in the past year, including the recently appointed Charles Weeks as a senior adviser, as the firm continues to grow as a sustainable capital management social infrastructure investment business for institutional investors and family offices. Her addition has achieved a 50/50 male-to-female ratio within the senior management team.
