New Mexico Educational Retirement Board approves $60m to Northampton Infrastructure Partners

by Elise Mackanych

The New Mexico Educational Retirement Board (NMERB) has committed $60 million to Northampton Infrastructure Partners, a vehicle managed by Northampton Capital Partners.

This closed-end, value-added fund focuses on digital infrastructure, power and transmission and transport in North America. A fundraising target has not been determined.

This commitment follows Northampton Capital Partners’ recent joint venture with Provident Data Centers, furthering the push for data center development around the country.

NMERB, a public pension fund, had $20 billion in total assets under management, as of March 31.
