The MM Capital Infrastructure Fund I (MMCIF I), managed by MM Capital Partners, is looking to acquire a 29 percent stake in Conexus Baltic Grid, a natural gas transmission and storage operator in Latvia, according to Global Legal Chronicle.
The seller is the Marguerite Fund, a Luxembourg-based pan-European equity fund that invests in renewables, energy and transportation. It is also known as the 2020 European Fund for Energy, Climate Change and Infrastructure.
Conexus Baltic Grid manages one of the most modern natural gas storage facilities in Europe, which has an underground capacity of up to 2.3 billion cubic meters, which can fully supply the fuel and energy needs of Latvia and the surrounding region, according to the company’s website.
Buyer MMCIF was formed in 2018 by Marubeni Corp., Mizuho Bank, and Asset Management One Co. to operate and manage funds specializing in equity investments in overseas infrastructure assets, reports Global Legal
