M&G Investments has funneled £30 million ($37 million) of financing into Belfast International Airport as part of a £100 million ($123 million) financing package designed to improve facilities, capacity and passenger experience at the airport.
Vinci Airports, a company that develops, finances, builds and provides everyday operation of airports in 13 countries, acquired Belfast International Airport in 2018. Belfast International Airport is the second-largest gateway in Ireland. The airport houses the Royal Air Force base Aldergrove. Construction of a new security building is under way, and more retail shopping, food and beverage outlets will be added in the terminal, along with new parking facilities.
