James Rickert has joined Mexico Infrastructure Partners as COO, international affairs.
He notably spent more than a decade at Brookfield Infrastructure, where he helped take the business into new geographies and market segments as the asset class scaled, according to Rickert’s LinkedIn page.
He also was a founding partner of Power Sustainable Lios, a specialized North American agri-food investment platform, where he helped raise a debut fund and build a platform from scratch.
MIP, an independent infrastructure and energy investor in Latin America, manages $13 billion across mature, cash-generating infrastructure platforms in Mexico and Colombia, with a deep pipeline behind it. Rickert emphasized the firm’s mandate is to build a global team that brings international capital to Latin American infrastructure and extends the firm’s investment expertise into new markets.
