Memphis Light, Gas & Water Division has committed $30 million to Brookfield Super-Core Infrastructure Partners, an open-end infrastructure fund managed by Brookfield Asset Management.
Launched in 2018, the core infrastructure fund is focused on transport, telecommunications, power and renewable-energy assets.
As of August 2021, Brookfield Super-Core Infrastructure Partners had secured more than $5 billion of equity capital commitments. According to Pitchbook, the fund is now at around $6.5 billion.
Other recent investors include Dallas Fort Worth International Airport Board, Oregon Public Employees Retirement Fund and Sacramento County (Calif.) Employees’ Retirement System.
Memphis Light, Gas & Water Division could not be reached to comment on the investment at the time of publication.
