Mark Segel joins Harbert Infrastructure as a senior adviser

Harbert Infrastructure has appointed Mark Segel as a senior adviser.

Segel brings more than 30 years of experience in energy infrastructure to the role. He previously served as a senior advisor in CPP Investments’ sustainable energies and infrastructure investment verticals. Segel also was a partner in Ares Management’s private equity group and was co-head of Ares EIF (the successor to Energy Investors Funds).

Prior to Ares, Segel served as vice president, finance, at ABB Energy Capital — formerly Energy Capital Partners — where he provided project financing for energy efficiency projects.
