MainePERS slates $100m for KKR Diversified Core Infrastructure Fund

by Kali Persall

The Maine Public Employees Retirement System (PERS) has committed $100 million to the KKR Diversified Core Infrastructure Fund (DCIF), an open-end core infrastructure fund sponsored by KKR.

DCIF is KKR’s first open-end infrastructure fund that seeks to pursue core infrastructure investments with a buy-and-hold approach.

MainePERS has invested in other KKR infrastructure funds, however, a spokesperson for the pension fund said this is its first commitment to the core fund.

MainePERS has a 10.9-percent allocation to infrastructure, against a target of 10 percent.
