The Maine Public Employees Retirement System (PERS) has invested $300 million to Brookfield Super-Core Infrastructure Partners.
This open-end fund invests in infrastructure, including transportation, telecommunications, renewable energy and utilities, in the United States. As of March 31, the fund has raised $15 billion in equity. This commitment marks an ongoing relationship between Brookfield and Maine PERS.
As of June 30, the public pension fund had $22.8 billion in total assets under management. Maine PERS had a 10 percent infrastructure allocation target with $2.4 billion in total infrastructure assets.
