Macquarie European Infrastructure Fund 4, managed by Macquarie Asset Management, has agreed to sell its 23.6 percent stake in Open Grid Europe (OGE), alongside a 0.5 percent stake owned by Halifax Regional Municipality Master Trust, to Fluxys, an independent infrastructure group active across Europe and in Latin America.
OGE, the owner and operator of a regulated natural gas transmission system in Germany, has a 12,000-kilometer (7,456-mile) pipeline network that transports gas throughout Germany to neighboring European countries. The company is actively advancing the energy transition, with the goal of creating a nationwide hydrogen and carbon-dioxide network through upgrades to its infrastructure.
