Macquarie Capital backs Filipino tower company

Macquarie Capital has closed its investment in Phil-Tower Consortium (PhilTower), one of the fastest-growing independent tower companies in the Philippines.

PhilTower constructs and operates digital infrastructure in partnership with mobile network operators, enabling these operators to rapidly expand their network coverage and meet growing demands for 4G and 5G services. The company is currently rolling out more than 1,000 sites across the Philippines.

“With Macquarie Capital’s investment, we will increase the momentum of our aggressive rollout as well as expand geographically,” said Devid Gubiani, president of PhilTower. “We are very bullish on the growth potential of the shared infrastructure industry, and we continue to support the DICT’s vision for a connected Philippines.”
