Macquarie acquires Galehead Development, announces strategic integration with Treaty Oak Clean Energy

by Kali Persall

Macquarie Asset Management (MAM) plans to acquire the remaining controlling interests in Galehead Development from Galehead Founders (GDF). Financial terms were not disclosed.

The investment will allow Galehead to become a wholly owned subsidiary of Treaty Oak, a U.S. independent power producer owned by MAM-managed funds. The transaction also will enable GDF to form ETX Upstream to expand access to the LandCommand Platform, Galehead's proprietary market intelligence and project siting software, and pursue nonrenewable energy-transition development activities.

ETX is a platform launched in early 2025 to incubate, invest in and pursue upstream energy-transition development activities.

The companies said the transaction and resulting integration creates value for Treaty Oak and Galehead as they move forward on a combined basis. Treaty Oak is a clean energy platform focused on developing, commercializing, building and operating utility-scale solar and energy storage
