BlackRock has appointed Louise Kooy-Henckel as the EMEA head of sustainable and transition solutions, based in London.
Kooy-Henckel will report to Helen Lees-Jones, BlackRock’s global head of sustainable and transition solutions, and will be responsible for leading the firm’s efforts in sustainable and transition investing in the EMEA region.
Prior to joining BlackRock, Kooy-Henckel served as nonexecutive director at Pensions for Purpose, a bridge between asset managers, pension funds and their professional advisers to encourage the flow of capital toward impact investments.
Kooy-Hencke previously spent more than six years as managing director and investment director, sustainable and impact investments, EMEA, at Wellington Management. She was the managing director, global equities, at JP Morgan Asset Management for nearly 20 years, among other roles.
