Listed infrastructure companies announce energy transition projects

Listed infrastructure companies have announced several notable transactions during the past two weeks. Spanish utility company Iberdrola has secured a €1 billion ($1.1 billion) green loan to finance the purchase of wind turbines for onshore and offshore projects. NextEra subsidiary, NextEra Energy Transmission, will construct an approximately 48-mile, 345-kilovolt transmission line in Oklahoma. Permian Highway Pipeline is raising capital to increase the pipeline’s capacity by nearly 650 million cubic feet per day. National Grid has joined the Electric Power Research Institute’s newly launched Climate READi (REsilience and ADaptation initiative), a three-year initiative that will support global energy stakeholders build and operate resilient energy systems.
