LaSalle secures initial $370m from CalSTRS and Development Bank of Japan for decarbonization fund

LaSalle Investment Management, the global investment management business of JLL, has announced that it has raised the first $370 million of capital, inclusive of sidecar commitments currently in closing, for its new global decarbonization fund, the LaSalle Property Planet Protection Fund (Lp3F). These initial commitments were secured from leading global institutional investors, including the Development Bank of Japan (DBJ), the California State Teachers’ Retirement System (CalSTRS), clients of a leading wealth management firm, a large international pension plan, and LaSalle and JLL.

With the launch of Lp3F to professional investors, LaSalle intends to accelerate the delivery of a decarbonized solution for commercial real estate around the world, while providing institutional capital allocators with an investment product that strives to achieve accretive risk-adjusted returns.
