Korea’s National Pension Service adds two infrastructure investment managers

by Kali Persall

The National Pension Service (NPS) of Korea has added two infrastructure managers to its group of global alternative investment managers, according to The Korea Economic Daily.

Antin Infrastructure Partners and Keppel Infrastructure Holdings have joined the group of 36 infrastructure portfolio managers.

This follows on the heels of a commitment of up to $200 million to Actis Energy 5, a private infrastructure fund managed by Actis Energy, in August. NPS previously invested in the fund’s predecessor, Actis Energy Fund 4, which closed with $2.75 billion in equity commitments in 2017.

NPS recently disclosed a positive return on investments at 0.5 percent for the first half of the year, which was led by alternative assets and fixed income.

The pension fund has some $634 billion in assets under management.
