Korea Midland Power Co. (KOMIPO) has invested KRW 96.1 billion ($66.3 million) for an ownership stake in the Shinan Ui offshore wind project. KOMIPO acquired 96.1 million new shares in the Shinan-Ui Offshore Wind Vehicle.
This project, located off South Korea’s Jeolla Province, will feature 26 units of Vestas Wind Systems and is expected to produce power for nearly 290,000 four-person households per year. Construction is scheduled to begin in April 2026.
KOMIPO will oversee all offshore operations and auxiliary equipment management after the project is finalized.
