KKR Diversified Core Infrastructure Fund picks up SamCERA as an investor

by Kali Persall

The San Mateo County Employees Retirement Association (SamCERA) has slated $60 million for KKR Diversified Core Infrastructure Fund (DCIF), IREI has learned.

DCIF is KKR’s first open-end infrastructure fund that seeks to pursue core infrastructure investments with a buy-and-hold approach. The fund opened to investors in late December 2020 and will pursue opportunities in North American, Western European and Asian markets.

Other recent investors include the Maine Public Employees Retirement System, the Border to Coast Pensions Partnership, the Sonoma County (Calif.) Employees’ Retirement Association, the Rhode Island State Investment Commission and the New Mexico State Investment Council.

SamCERA could not be reached to comment on its investment activity at the time of publication.
