The Kern County (Calif.) Employees’ Retirement Association (KCERA) has committed $50 million to Juniper Capital.
Juniper Capital is an energy investment firm based in Houston that is focused on providing oil and gas management teams with equity capital for projects in the continental United States.
As of July 2023, Juniper Capital had $1.5 billion of cumulative equity commitments.
As of June 30, 2023, KCERA had $1.68 billion of its $5.38 billion portfolio allocated toward alternative investments, including hedge funds, private credit and private equity, and $434.3 million allocated toward real estate investments.
