Keppel Infrastructure has signed exclusive and binding agreements to explore renewable-energy opportunities with Royal Group Power Company (RGP) in the Kingdom of Cambodia, and with PSG Corporation Public Company (PSGC) in Laos People’s Democratic Republic.
Keppel Infrastructure and RGP will explore the development and operations of selected renewable energy projects in Cambodia. The projects will collectively have an installed capacity of 2,500 megawatts in order to export up to 1,000 megawatts to Singapore via submarine high-voltage transmission. The collaboration also will explore the joint development of an onshore transmission line from the Laos-Cambodia border through Cambodia for exportation of low-carbon electricity to Singapore, where Keppel Energy would be the offtaker.
